Sometimes a change of scenery is all that’s needed to gain a fresh perspective. When Topline Steel Buildings moved into a beautiful new office building in October 2013, it was more than just moving into a larger space.

“We wanted to display what we do best to everyone who visits our office,”explains co-owner Jacob Hocker. “Building our own office was a chance to showcase our expertise in high-quality steel buildings, while also having a place to call our own.”

The old Topline Steel location consisted of only 2 offices in 900 sq ft. “There wasn’t too much breathing room,” says Jake. “One of our goals had always been to use one of our own steel buildings as an office headquarters. It was the perfect opportunity since we had outgrown our existing space.”

The new Topline Steel Buildings office sits on 2 acres of land and is 4,250 square feet, which is a dramatic change of scenery!

The team enjoys having their own space and work area. “You don’t have to hear everyone’s conversation anymore, or work ‘around’ someone else’s schedule,” says Jake.

The new location features a beautiful conference room, break room, reception area, call center, and even a 1500 square foot shop that stores construction equipment. “It’s rewarding to have ownership of your work space,” says Jake. The new building’s location even allows the team to plant a vegetable garden outside to grow their own food!

Measuring 50’ x 85’ x 14’, the new Topline Steel office building features all the modern luxuries and amenities of a traditional office building or home. Jake says that visitors first notice the natural pecan floors, and the stone wainscoting on the outside. These high-end special features change perceptions of what a steel building can achieve.

“It disproves the misconception that steel buildings are all metal barns,” explains Jake. “Our office shows that steel buildings can handle the same commercial applications as a traditional building only for far less the cost.”
